Beyond the Edge, Backworlds Book 4

In Beyond the Edge, I dove deeper into the layers of the galaxy and the characters. After writing the first three books quickly, fan feedback started to find me. It turned out, Lepsi and Talos, two side characters from The Backworlds, had struck a chord with readers. Oops. I had to unkill Lepsi, but only I knew he was dead at this point, and everything is possible in science fiction.
In Stopover, I left Lepsi’s fate ambiguous. Talos and Craze both clung to the hope he might still be alive. The need to bring him back to life drives the opening in Boomtown Craze, setting up a search for Lepsi in Beyond the Edge. This hunt for a friend uncovers far more than anticipated. Pardeep Station has more than dust. I has secrets, and so does Rainly, one of the key characters. I loved weaving these layers into the story and watching the plot and characters evolve.
I’ve always been a fan of stories with layers, and I knew I wanted to bring that depth to the Backworlds series. The combination of exploration, the unexpected discoveries on uncharted planets, and the way the characters’ relationships develop make this one of my favorite books in the series.
